Many children are born blind, with no hope of ever seeing the beautiful
world awaiting them. In many third-world countries, the number of
children born blind are increasing, and cure does not come in cheap. 20
million people of all ages are “needlessly blind” because they are too
poor to afford treatment. So they remain blind. For life.
Most people are able to watch television and see the sun set, while
these people have not even seen their mother who brought them into the
world.
Good thing is, there is a miracle operation that can be done to help
these people to be able to see. Half of the blind children and adults in
the world could have their eyesight restored through a simple,
15-minute surgery that costs as little as $300. The only problem is, for
the poorest people in the world, who live on $1 a day, they could never
afford to pay for a $300 surgery.
